Orbit Business Centre

The Orbit Business Centre is a £5.5 Million state of the art facility, incorporating start-up offices, business support, training suites and large office space for existing businesses.

The building comprising approximately 30,000sq.ft. of grade A office space for established and new-start businesses, large conference facility, and much, much more. Established in 2007 the centre has offices for new and growing businesses of all shapes and sizes, with on-site business support and a batural business network.

Comcen were invited by Merthyr County Council to design an AV solution which would cater for both general meeting rooms and conference centres.

The flagship of the installation was the main conference room which consisted of five large screens, with a multi zone audio system, all controlled via an AMX wireless touch panel.

The AMX touch panel was programmed to control each individual screen plus audio levels within different zones of the main conference room. Each of the three meeting rooms were fitted with large panel screens and ceiling mount projectors with an interactive whiteboard being installed into the training room.

Working closely with the contractors, Comcen were able to fit “first fix” cabling during the construction phase of the building, before completing the installation towards the end of the build prior to handover.

The installation was completed on time ready for the new owners to move in.
